Baker Wilkins first became involved in projects in Iraq in the 1980s and have undertaken cost management services on a considerable number of very large and prestigious projects since that time.

These have included the Salahaldeen University in Erbil, the Guest Palace complex in Basra and numerous mixed use projects in Baghdad.

Baker Wilkins have had a permanent presence in the Middle East for over 30 years and have worked in almost every country in the region since that time.

The same office previously used by Baker Wilkins in Baghdad will be brought back into use immediately travel is possible.

Through established relationships in the Iraqi community, our Middle Eastern connections from many countries and other internationally funded clients, we are now developing a clear strategy for our involvement in several fields of activity in the rebuilding and development of Iraq.

In January 2005, long established local quantity surveyors Majan have established a joint venture with Baker Wilkins for all existing and future projects in Oman. Majan's unrivalled experience and residential staffing in Oman combined with Baker Wilkins' Middle East major project experience have together formed an exceptionally capable team for the many major projects planned in the Sultanate.

We are now in our 51st year. David Baker and Donald Wilkins established the firm in the UK in 1955. For 33 years we have been active throughout the Middle East and elsewhere in the world.

With the establishement of Majan Baker Wilkins in Oman and a significant workload now spreading from not only our Bahrain base but from Egypt, Qatar, Lebanon and also extensively in Iraq, we are now able to service all our client's needs throughout the region.
